NetGuard Security Assessment

Know what's exposed. Fix what matters first.

A safe, hands-off look at every device on your business network: what's running, what's out of date, and which weaknesses attackers are actually using right now. Delivered as a plain-English report with a prioritized fix list.

Nothing gets broken. No hacking attempts, no downtime, and only on systems you've authorized in writing.

What we check

A clear picture of your network, in one report.

NetGuard is the assessment platform Casatech built and runs for you. It looks at your network the way an outsider would, then ranks what it finds by real-world risk.

Every device, found

Computers, servers, printers, cameras, routers and the forgotten box in the closet. You can't protect what you don't know you have.

Open doors

Which services each device exposes, and which ones shouldn't be reachable at all, like remote desktop or old file sharing left wide open.

Known vulnerabilities

Software versions matched against the national vulnerability database, with anything on the government's actively exploited list flagged first.

Wi-Fi review

Your wireless networks checked for weak or outdated encryption and guest networks that aren't really separate.

Malware check

An optional scan of key computers for known malware, so you're not starting your security plan on top of a problem.

A report you can use

An owner-level summary, a ranked fix list your IT person can work through, and the evidence your insurer or clients may ask for.

How it works

Two weeks, start to finish.

A free call

We talk about your office, your systems and what's worrying you. If it's not a fit, I'll say so.

Written authorization

You confirm in writing exactly which networks and devices are in scope. Nothing outside that list is ever touched.

The assessment

Scans run at a time that suits you, usually with no one in the office noticing a thing.

Report and walkthrough

I go through the findings with you, answer questions, and follow up after 30 days to check progress.

Safe by design

What NetGuard won't do

This is an assessment, not an attack. It's built so it can be run any time without risk to your business.

  • No hacking attempts or password guessing
  • No attempts to break in or take control of anything
  • No load testing that could slow your systems down
  • No scanning of anything you haven't authorized in writing

Written authorization, every time

Before anything runs, you sign off on exactly which networks and devices are in scope. NetGuard refuses to scan anything outside that list. The check is built into the software, not left to a promise.

Pricing

A fixed fee, no surprises.

Every engagement starts with a free 30-minute call, and you'll have a firm quote before any work begins.

Questions

Good to know

Will this slow down or disrupt our office?

No. The scans are light and read-only, and we schedule them for a time that suits you. Most offices don't notice anything.

Do you need access to our computers?

For the network assessment, no passwords are needed. The optional malware check runs on the computers you choose, with your permission.

Is this the same as a penetration test?

No. An assessment finds and ranks weaknesses without trying to exploit them, which is why it's safe to run at any time. If you also need a penetration test, for an insurer or a client contract for example, I can point you to a specialist firm, and your assessment report gives them a head start.

Will it help with cyber-insurance or client questionnaires?

Often, yes. The report documents what was checked, what was found and what you fixed, which is the evidence those forms usually ask for.

What size of business is this for?

Offices with roughly 5 to 75 people, such as law firms, medical and dental practices, accountants and design studios, that hold sensitive client data and don't have an in-house security team.
